Etisalat launches unlimited push-to-talk package

ABU DHABI - The United Arab Emirates based communications services provider Etisalat has announced a new package for its Push-to-Talk (PTT) service customers, providing unlimited use of the service.

“Etisalat constantly strives to enhance services and improve the customer’s overall telephony experience. Push-to-talk is an all encompassing service that fulfils the need of a wide range of our customers,” WAM news agency reported, quoting Khalifa Al Shamsi, senior vice president, Consumer Marketing, Etisalat.

Push-to-Talk services allow the use of a mobile phone like a walkie-talkie and allows customers to send their message to an individual or a group of receivers at the same time.

Push-to-talk also lets customers contact their friends and colleagues directly without dialling their numbers. A message can be directly sent through the push of a button and the receivers can listen to the message through the loudspeaker of their devices. Customers can create up to 5 groups and up to 25 people in each group for contacts.
