AK Steel plans $75 million contribution to pension fund

AK Steel to add $75M to pension fund
WEST CHESTER, Ohio — Steel company AK Steel said Monday that its board of directors has approved a $75 million contribution to the company’s pension trust fund.
The contribution, to be made during the first quarter, is expected to compose a sizable portion of AK Steel’s 2010 pension funding requirements.
The company said it has contributed more than $1.1 billion to its pension fund since 2005.
