NEW YORK — The following stocks were among those that moved substantially or traded heavily Wednesday on the New York Stock Exchange and the Nasdaq Stock Market:

DeVry Inc., up $7.15 at $63.32
The for-profit school said earnings could grow by 20 percent for the year, and analysts bet its shares could rise by about 30 percent.
Boeing Co., up $4.22 at $61.93
Boeing surprised investors with a bigger-than-expected fourth-quarter profit and said testing of its two newest planes is on track.
Toyota Motor Corp., down $7.01 at $79.77
Toyota’s suspension of U.S. sales on an unprecedented scale to fix faulty gas pedals deals a blow to the automaker’s reputation.
Caterpillar Inc., down $2.41 at $53.44
