THIRUVANANTHAPURAM - To provide exposure of various technologies to entrepreneurs, an institution under the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is jointly setting up a technology demonstration and incubation centre with the Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (KINFRA).

Defence Food Research Laboratory (DFRL), Mysore, and KINFRA will come up with the centre at the KINFRA Food Processing Park Adoor in Pathanamthitta district, about 100 km from here.

“This project has been conceived with the objective of providing assistance to new as well as existing entrepreneurs by giving them exposure to various technologies developed by DFRL in the food processing sector and also providing facilities to carry out trial/initial production,” a KINFRA press release said here Tuesday.

The proposed facility would be equipped with adequate food processing machinery to enable demonstration of technology.
