SRINAGAR - The Jammu-Srinagar highway was closed to traffic Thursday morning following landslides at Panthal in Ramban district. The highway is the main road link between the Kashmir Valley and the rest of the country.

All essential supplies to the Valley are brought via this highway.

“Following landslide and shooting stones at Panthal stretch of the road this morning, the highway was closed for traffic at 7.45 a.m,” an officer of the traffic department said here.
