Pfizer, Procter & Gamble among big movers
NEW YORK — Stocks that moved substantially or traded heavily Tuesday on the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Stock Market:

Pfizer Inc., up 86 cents at $16.34
The pharmaceutical company’s quarterly net income jumped 9 percent as its recent acquisition of drugmaker Wyeth added revenue.
Dow Chemical Co., down $2.83 at $25.50
The chemicals manufacturer said its net income and revenue increased in the second quarter, but not by as much as analysts had expected.
Procter & Gamble Co., down $2.12 at $59.94
An advertising blitz during the consumer goods maker’s fiscal fourth quarter helped bump up sales, but weighed on profit.
OfficeMax Inc., down $1.89 at $12.96
The office supply chain said the weak economy is weighing on its business and forecast sales declines for the year.
Coach Inc., down $1.33 at $37.10
Shares slid despite the handbag maker’s growing market share and a sharp increase in fourth-quarter net income.
Newell Rubbermaid Inc., up 35 cents at $16.37
The consumer products maker is buying back $500 million of its shares and restructuring its debt in an effort to lower interest expenses.

Cognizant Technology Solutions Corp., up $5.20 at $60.62
The consulting and IT outsourcer said its quarterly profit jumped 22 percent, and its full-year forecast topped Wall Street estimates.
Sukes Enterprises Inc., down $3.37 at $11.93
Shares hit a 5-year low after the outsourcing company’s second-quarter results missed forecasts by a wide margin.
