Toyota raises prices by 1.50 percent

NEW DELHI - Japanese automobile major Toyota’s Indian subsidiary Thursday said it is increasing prices of its key models Innova, Corolla and Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) Fortuner, from Oct 1.

“The price increase of Innova, Corolla Altis and Fortuner will be up to 1.50 percent,” the company said in a statement.

According to the company, the increase in prices range from Rs.10,000 to Rs.17,000 for Innova, Rs.10,000 to Rs.14,000 for Corolla and around Rs.29,000 for Fortuner.

The Japanese car giant’s decision comes after the country’s largest SUV and tractor manufacturer Mahindra and Mahindra announced raising the prices of its vehicles by Rs.8,000.
