NEW DELHI - Bharti Airtel Thursday said it will partner telecom gear makers Ericsson and Huawei to expand and manage its mobile network in Bangladesh where it launched its services this year.

The company refused to share details of the financial transaction of the deal. However, it said Ericsson will deliver and manage majority of the company\’s network capacity in Bangladesh while Huawei will provide services in the eastern areas of the country.

The agreements with the two companies includes network design, planning, implementation, project management as well as material and services for the base station sites and microwave transmission, the company said in a statement.

It will also ensure that the networks are ready for the third generation (3g) services thus enabling fast roll out of 3G services at a later date, it added.

Bharti acquired 70 percent stake in Warid Telecom of Bangladesh in January 2010.
