Himachal pavilion to have 60 stalls at trade fair

SHIMLA - Clean and energy efficient technology would be the theme of Himachal Pradesh pavilion during India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2010 beginning Nov 14 in New Delhi, an official statement said here Friday.

“Around 60 government and private organisations will put up stalls during the trade fair from Nov 14 to Nov 27,” the statement quoting Himachal pavilion director R.R. Patiyal said.

He said companies like Dabur, Vardhman, Balaji Exports and Sonalika Tractors would display their products.

The Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation would set up a stall to popularise prominent and less-known tourist destinations.

“Hand-knitted woollens like shawls, stoles, mufflers, socks, gloves, pullovers and caps, Kangra paintings, Chamba rumal (handkerchief), Chamba chappals (slippers), jewellery items, handicrafts, fruit juices and dry fruits would be the main attractions at the stall of Himachal Handicraft and Handloom Corporation,” he added.
