NEW DELHI - For the second time in nine days, thousands of commuters were stranded Sunday evening as services on Delhi Metro’s Gurgaon-Jahangirpuri line were disrupted due to a technical snag, a Metro official said.

“There has been some technical snag which we are trying to figure out. Services on this line has been stopped since the last half an hour. We don’t know if the line will start tonight since we still haven’t found the problem,” the official told IANS at 10 p.m.

According to a passenger who tried to catch the Metro from the Green Park station, there was no train since around 9 p.m.

A major disruption occurred on the Jahangirpuri-Gurgon section Nov 19 evening, leaving thousands stranded. Full services only resumed the next morning.

“This line is always overcrowded. Since this line has a long route, thousands travel on it everyday. It is a case of too much load on this line,” the official said.
