AHMEDABAD - Sistema Shyam TeleServices Limited (SSTL) Thursday launched its mobile telephony brand MTS in Gujarat.

The company’s president and CEO Vsevolod Rozanov also said the company would invest Rs.100 crore over the next three months to ramp up its network in the state, reaching to over 150 dealers and 31,000 retail outlets.

“We plan to launch our high speed mobile broadband service in Gujarat by the first quarter of next year,” he added.

The company’s chief operating officer (Gujarat) Navid Rashid said customers can avail of their nationally successful 1/2 paisa per second tariff plan.

SSTL is joint venture between Sistema, one of Russia’s largest listed companies with annual revenues of $19 billion, and India’s Shyam Group. Sistema currently holds 73.71 percent share in the venture. Shyam Group holds 23.79 percent and the remaining 2.5 percent is with the public.
