Pay half fare on medical emergencies on Kingfisher

MUMBAI - People travelling on medical emergencies can avail 50 percent discount on fares on Kingfisher Airline’s domestic routes, the company announced here Monday.

The airline is the first one to offer this facility, according to Kingfisher Airlines CEO Sanjay Aggarwal.

In times of difficulty, when guests have to undertake travel for a family members medical emergency or bereavement, we would like to be there for them, Aggarwal remarked.

With Care Fares, the passengers can either book under the Medical Emergency Fare or regular fares during a spot or last-minute booking.

Later, within 60 days, after submitting the relevant documents, they shall be refunded 50 percent of the fare paid, on single or return journeys, taxes and other levies excluded.

The documents needed to claim the refund would include completing a Medical Emergency Fare Application Form, death or hospitalization certificate, proof of relationship with the traveller and an E-ticket receipt,
