IBF Media to host conference on cloud computing

BANGALORE - IBF Media announced today that it will be hosting a evening conference on Cloud Computing at the Ista Hotel in Bangalore on February 25, 2010 from 6pm to 10pm.
The event will focus on the evolution of the sector, panelists will talk about the future of cloud computing and where are the exciting opportunities for companies looking to build a business in the space.
The event showcases some of the latest trends in cloud computing and looks at some of the successful business models and companies in this emerging technology area. The panel will be composed of successful venture investors from the Indian venture capital industry as well as technology executives from companies in India that are succeeding in this space. There has been strong investment activity in this sector from leading venture capital firms, both in India as well as brand name firms in the US and Europe.
A significant part of the panel will address opportunities in the software and applications layer and how successful delivery models are being built using the cloud. Another area of interest that has recently emerged to the forefront is security in the cloud and the panelists will discuss how leading edge companies are building security solutions for the cloud.

Dr. Gupta was one of the founders of Junglee which was successfully sold to Amazon.com.
