Sierra Atlantic Unveils Future Plans

BANGALORE, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Noted US based outsourced product development services and offshoring enterprise applications provider Sierra Atlantic acquired Baytree Associates recently. The latter is an Oracle solutions provider and consultant based in North Carolina. Sanjay Jesrani, who is the chief financial officer of the company Sierra Atlantic said that it is the company’s 4th acquisition in the previous 4 years. It earlier acquired Sceptre Database Consultants Inc, Interion and ArrAy based in Boston. He also said in his statement that the new acquisition will add to Sierra Atlantic’s banking, healthcare and finance services.
The integration of Baytree Associates with Sierra Atlantic is slated to commence this week. The company Sierra Atlantic is operational for the last 17 years and it has a delivery center in Bangalore and a global development center in Hyderabad in India. It is counting heavily on its gaming vertical now and expects it to emerge as a major money spinner. At least 100 employees of the company are working at the Hyderabad center to make the gaming vertical successful. The company already has a number of clients in gaming area and it expects to rope in a few more in the coming days.
The gaming section of Sierra Atlantic makes game engines and also offers technologies to game companies to migrate to various platforms. It is looking at the MMORPG market, the CEO revealed. The Bangalore center has 50 workers as of now but it will be expanded to accommodate a 200 strong workforce in the near future. The Hyderabad center is also awaiting an expansion.
