Jet Blue Airlines Unveils New Offer

NEW YORK (GaeaTimes.com)- JetBlue Airways Corp has agreed to set up a partnership venture with South African Airways that will benefit both the airlines. According to the new deal signed between these two airlines, the fliers will be able to avail flights on both airlines if they buy a single ticket. The offer will be made effective from May 12 as it has been reported. The customers of Jet blue airways will be able to fly to around 40 international destinations covered by the South African Airways. Similarly the customers of the South African Airways will be able to fly to the destinations of JetBlue airways in South America, Caribbean and other provinces of the USA. Prior to the deal, South African Airways customers could only go to Washington D.C and New York in the USA.

Before signing up with the South African Airways, JetBlue Airways Corp inked a similar deal with American Airlines and also with Irish carrier Aer Lingus. Such deals are beneficial to both the parties as they can offer more destinations to their passengers without incurring additional expense. The fliers who purchase these itineraries will use a single e ticket and check their luggage at the final destination. They would get boarding passes for both carriers flights in South Africa or The USA.

Marc Cavaliere, who is the Executive VP of SAA for North America said in his statement that A lot of people want to fly to destinations in South Africa from the cities in the USA that are covered by the network of JetBlue Airways. He also said that the agreement has been made just in time before the upcoming World Cup that will be held in South Africa.
