Canara Bank Recruitment 2010 Announced

BANGALORE, INDIA (Gaeatimes.com)- Canara Bank has announced the recruitment for 700 Investment Officers on contract basis. The registration opened on June 22 and will be closing on July 10. Interested candidates will have to apply online within the mentioned time. The tentative date for the written examination has been announced as September 5 this year.
The candidates will be recruited on a state/union territory basis. A candidate is allowed to apply for only one state or union territory within India and his placement will be made within that territory itself. The bank will select the candidates on the basis of the written examination and also the IRDA License examination that they will have to pass thereafter. The provisionally selected candidates will only be selected finally if they get their IRDA License within the period mentioned by Canara Bank.
The bank’s official website has provided in the detailed advertisement that the candidates should preferably be an MBA with a flair for marketing of Mutual Funds, Insurance and other financial products and also be well versed in the language of the state he/she is applying for. The challan that can be downloaded from the website needs to be paid at any of the bank’s branches, The application fee for the SC/ST/PWD category candidates is Rs.50 and for the general candidates it is Rs.300. After paying the application fee at the Canara Bank branch the candidates are required to fill up the complete application form online with the help of the codes given by the bank. The candidates should also retain a copy of the challan which they will need to produce during the time of the written examination.
