Forbes 400: Bill Gates Maintains #1 Spot

NEW YORK (GaeaTimes.com)- The latest Forbes 400 of the richest people in America shows that Bill Gates is still the richest man in the world with a total worth of $54billion. Warren Buffet follows the Microsoft co-founder on the list with #45billion. Among some of surprises on the list is Mark Zuckerberg who has moved to the 35th spot with $6.9billion. At 26 years of age he becomes the youngest in the top 100. The official website has announced the list on Wednesday and people can get inspiration from the dizzying amount of wealth that some of the people on the list have either earned or inherited.
In the overall category of the Forbes 400 richest in America, Bill Gates maintains the #1 spot. Among the industry wise richest, Anne Cox Chambers of Cox Enterprises is the richest in media while Donald Bren leads the pack of real estate billionaires. Among some of the younger billionaires Larry Page and Sergey Brin of Google are tied at #11.
Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook has for the first time gone past Steve Jobs of Apple with a net worth of $6.9billion. Oprah Winfrey shows that she is one of the most powerful celebs with her $2.7billion fortune and 130th position on the Forbes 400. ‘Schindler’s List’ director Steven Spielberg continues to be on the Forbes List as well with a net worth of $3billion and the 11th spot overall. In the top 10 of the Forbes 400, there are 4 family members of the Waltons who have made the most of their Wal-mart enterprise. Highest among them is Christy Walton who holds the #4 spot with a fortune of $24billion.
