PUNE - The Pune-based Europe Asia Business School is participating in “The Joy of Giving Week”, a festival that aims to bring together Indians all across the country and abroad through different acts of giving- money, time, skills or resources.
A volunteer-driven and coordinated event that is held every year, the Joy of Giving week is starting on a Sunday (September 26) and ending on a Saturday (October 2).
Last year, over 300 events were organized in over 40 cities across the length and breadth of India by over 5000 volunteers and two lakh participants.
The EABS wants to be able to carve up its competency in a way that can complement its values with the spirit of the event.
There are two events that have been earmarked for the week long initiative (1) Kid’s day out- Lending a helping hand, a day-long event which would engage both students and staff of EABS to accompany 50 HIV+ orphans from the NGOs, ‘Swadhar ‘and ‘Ray of Hope’, on a trip to Sanskruti resorts in Pune.
The event which is scheduled to take place on October 2, and would coincide with the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
Volunteers of EABS plan to leave no stone unturned in entertaining kids throughout the day in the best possible demeanour.
A variety of interactive games and a sharing of tales and real life incidents is planned for the kids. The learning experience for the kids will include giving them an array of delectable cuisine being served by Sanskruti.
The second event is Vidyadhan - Unwrap hands and help a child read
This one of its kind event has been planned by EABS to bring out the pedigree of its existence, and that’s education.
EABS is of the view that a book is the key to reaping the fruits of education.
“A lot of these, once useful and now useless books can still prove valuable for the lesser fortunate ones of our society. The event tries to do just about the same. Taking place for the entire ‘Joy of Giving Week’, Vidyadhan aims at collecting unused books and stationery over a period of time from different corporate offices across the city and donating the collected treasure to the ones in need of education over the week,” EABS said in its release on Friday.
The Europe Asia Business School has been conceptualized by industialists and world renowned academicians including alumnus of Harvard and Cambidge Universities delivering outstanding business education, transformation capabilities for candidates and inspiring innovation at early stages of the programme.
EABS has adopted research-based management frameworks which provide the foundation for each of the programme. Study groups, interactive simulations, and case discussions reinforce the practical applications of these frameworks. At EABS, the learning initiative is an endeavor to encourage continuous innovation through people and technology. The scope of activities of EABS is very broad from leadership development to research in entrepreneurship models.
EABS draws its synergy from the core strengths of academic leadership in Marketing, Investment Banking, Insurance, Core Banking practices, Finance, Information Technology and Business Process Outsourcing. It ails to build business leaders who are capable of sustaining businesses having strong competencies and are equipped with excellent domain knowledge. (ANI)
