Japanese delegation to participate in Bihar conclave

PATNA - A Japanese delegation will participate in a conclave here Dec 19-20 along with some 200 delegates to examine ways to accelerate the pace of socio-economic change in Bihar.

The two-day conclave, organised by news portal Bihartimnes.com, will see the participation of various people from Bihar who have proven themselves in different fields.

One of the Japanese delegates, Professor Makoto Kato, an expert on Geotechnical Engineering, Soil Conservation and Ground Water Engineering at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, wishes to work for development of Bihar and plans to survey Gaya district for underground dam construction, underground water preservation and water supply to farmers during summers.

Katsuhiko Kurosawa, a researcher from Seikei University, is interested in developing arid lands of Bihar through development of appropriate eco-technological approach for energy generation and carbon sequentration.

Ajay Kumar, CEO of Bihartimnes.com, said the initiative has got a warm response from a large number of icons who have established their name in their professional fields.
