Forbes World’s Richest People list has been announced today. It was utter astounding to find Bill Gates, the uncrowned king of Microsoft emperor in the second place of Forbes World’s Richest People list. The new richest person is Mexican tycoon Carlos Slim.
Bill Gates has been second to none since 1995 in Forbes Richest People list. Gates, now worth $53 billion, is now ranked second in the world. Carlos Slim, the wealthiest person has an estimated $53.5 billion, thanks to his giant mobile outfit America Movil.
Forbes has revealed top 20 list of richest people in the world. The list include:
1. Carlos Slim (Mexico) - $53.5 billion, telecommunications
2. Bill Gates (USA) - $53 billion, Microsoft
3. Warren Buffett (USA) - $47 billion, Berkshire Hathaway
4. Mukesh Ambani (India) - $29 billion, petrochemicals, oil and gas
5. Lakshmi Mittal (India) - $28.7 billion, steel
6. Larry Ellison (USA) - $28 billion, Oracle
7. Bernard Arnault (France) - $27.5 billion, LVMH
8. Eike Batista (Brazil) - $27 billion, mining, oil
9. Amancio Ortega (Spain) - $25 billion, retail
10. Karl Albrecht (Germany) - $23.5 billion, supermarkets
11. Ingvar Kamprad & family (Sweden) - $23 billion, Ikea
