Hyderabad Auto show focus on Toyota small concept car Etios

HYDERABAD - Japanese carmaker Toyota showcased its forthcoming small car, the Etios, at the First Auto Show in Hyderabad on Friday.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), in association with the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) as well as Government of Andhra Pradesh organised the show.
The Etios, the first smallest car ever launched by Toyota in India was the smallest and cheapest car displayed in the exhibition.
“Toyota has launched its first small concept car for India. The name of the car is Etios. But these are just the concept models. The car will be available in India only by the end year 2010,” said Sanjay Gupta, Deputy General Manager (Sales and Marketing), Toyota.
The Etios met with uniform approval from spectators.
“I noticed the wheels as well as the body. The overall metallic colour is looking really nice. The dimensions and style of the car is appealing to the younger generation. So, overall it’s an excellent product,” said Navin Rao, a visitor at the auto show.
A number of vehicle manufacturers, including Tata Motors, Toyota, General Motors, Fiat India, Skoda, Mahindra and Mahindra, Honda Cars, TVS Motors, Honda Motorcycles, Yamaha, etc., participated at this exhibition, which was inaugurated by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K. Rosaiah.
The exhibition, which started in Hyderabad, will move across the country in a phased manner according to plans drawn up by the event organizers. (ANI)
