NEW DELHI, India (GaeaTimes.com)- Harsh Narang, an IIT Delhi graduate has launched the ‘PhokatCopy’, an idea which he had emulated from his days at the Delhi campus. The young boy has started this initiative with the aim to provide free photocopies to every student in the area, these photocopies being subsidized by the advertisements printed at the back pages. The company has ties with photocopiers of IIT Delhi, IMI, DCE and Delhi School of Economics and has also entered into agreements with companies like Coffee Day, Apple Resellers and Career Launchers.

The boy who has just completed his graduation from IIT Delhi and is only 22 years of age, has become an inspiration to several other graduates who pass out of the business schools in the country. In fact, close to ten students from IIM Ahmedabad have followed the road shown to them by Harsh Narang and have opted to start their own business instead of taking part in the placements arranged by their institutes.

The most interesting fact in the IIT Delhi graduate’s attempt is that his idea is now not only prevalent in the cities and towns but also in the rural areas of India. It has come to light that an auto driver who operates in the outskirts of the city of Chennai in India and who has supposedly studied only till the fifth standard has created his own Hotmail account through which he markets himself and the services that he provides. Thus it can be concluded that good business ideas are not the forte of only literate graduates but also the semi-literate in India. In fact it is being said that today’s students, especially the ones from elite institutes like the IITs and the IIMs are growing up to be big entrepreneurs.
