Information technology jobs on the rise in Rajasthan

JAIPUR - With Information Technology (IT) companies recruiting on a large scale, Rajasthan is witnessing a rise in jobs in the IT sector.

IT and ITES (Information Technology Enabled System) companies like Genpact are receiving good offshore orders and generating huge job opportunities in the domestic market.

“The job market is very buoyant for the qualified professional. The IT and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector companies are hiring in very large amount. Even in the engineering sector for example, even in our industry like auto components the growth is very much there.

Therefore the job market is very good. Almost everyone I know in this industry is hiring people,” said Rohit Saboo, President of CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) of Rajasthan.

According to recruiters, the economic slowdown, which had hit the IT industries globally, is almost over in India.

“Well at least in India, the jobs are growing, so you know specially in IT and ITES which had seen a slow down last year, its beginning to pick up again. So we are, everyone is little cautiously optimistic now and jobs are coming back. Companies like us and the other big companies are now hiring again,” said Diwakar Singhal, Vice President, Genpact Rajasthan.

Around 5000 vacancies are available in IT and BPO companies in the state. (ANI)
