Global Investors Meet: Bangalore Invites Investors

BANGALORE, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- The Global Investors Meet which started in Bangalore on Thursday is set to change the business scenario in the country taking into consideration the big names who will be participating in the GIM this year. Organized by the Karnataka government, the Global Investors Meet will play host to top industrialists like Lakshmi N. Mittal from ArcelorMittal, Kumaramangalam Birla of the Aditya Birla Group, Sashi Ruia from ESSAR, UB Group Chief Vijay Mallya, Kris Gopalakrishnan from Infosys and Wipro Chairman Azim Premji to name a few.

The two day event was inaugurated on Thursday by the leader of Bharatiya Janata Party and Arun Jaitley, the leader of the opposition party in the Rajya Sabha. Speaking on the occasion, Arun Jaitley said that the competition among the top industries are on the rise not only in India but also around the world, so the country is giving an opportunity to the big investors around the world to get in touch with one another so as to increase business profits which will benefit not only a particular country but the world in general. The Global Investors Meet in Bangalore is reportedly raining so much investment that the meet may bring in Rupees 5 trillion or rupees 5 lakh crore to the country in the next four to five years.

One of the first speakers in the Global Investors Meet, Bangalore was Lakshmi Mittal. He said that he is looking forward to his upcoming project in Karnataka, stressing on the fact that India was one of the major contributors of world funds today. Not only ArcelorMittal, but representatives from major companies around the world are investing huge amounts in Karnataka.
