MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com)- Indian Bank is among the topmost public sector banks in India which has more than 1640 branches all over the country. It also operates abroad. Recently, the bank has announced a recruitment notice for 685 clerical posts. The pay scale may vary from INR 7200 to INR 19300 according to the state. The interested candidates may register themselves online from June 7, 2010. The last date for online registration is July 6th 2010. The written exam will be held on August 22. To apply for the aforesaid post a candidate should be within 18 to 27 years. They need to clear their 10+2 exam from a recognized education board or university. The documents need to be authentic.

For applying to the clerical post in Indian bank a candidate needs to read, speak and write English fluently. He also needs to know the official language of the state he is applying in. As with any bank related jobs, a candidate applying for this vacancy also needs to know computers. The written test would be used for short listing the deserving candidates from the applicants. It would comprise of numerical and analytical ability, Clerical aptitude and English skill. There is negative marking for the wrong answers. Those who clear the written test will be called for an interview which is the final step.
