Pennsylvania (GaeaTimes.com)- This year a number of products ranging from car to medicine have been recalled one after another and the latest stuff to be recalled is portable baby recliners. As per the report of the Consumer Product Safety Commission 30000 Nap Nanny baby recliners marketed by Baby Matters are going to be recalled. The baby recliners are being recalled after the new sofa baby girl’s death caused by a recliner in Michigan surfaced. Another toddler got injured in forehead but survived. The unfortunate kid who died got trapped and suffocated between the crib bumper and the recliner itself.

The company that manufactures the baby recliners has said that the products are meant to be used on the floor. In both of the aforesaid incidents the products were used within an enclosure which is not recommended. The recliners covered by this recall were sold from several retailers from 2009 to July 2010 as it has been reported. The company has also said that its first generation products that do not have D rings are going to be affected by this recall. The second generation Nap Nanny Recliners are safe according to the company and now it is offering heavy rebate to the buyers of the first generation products. They can exchange their products with new lot and avail the rebate.

The company has also asked the website to see a video that guides them how to use the Nap Nanny baby recliners properly. It also recommends that babies weighing over 8 pounds should be put in the recliner since they have control over their body parts.
