Luxair Luxembourg orders 1 more Boeing 737-800
SEATTLE — European regional carrier Luxair Luxembourg Airlines placed an order for an additional Boeing 737-800 airplane, the aircraft maker said Friday.
The airline had previously ordered its first 737-800 in June. The model has a list price of $77 million, although discounts are common.
Boeing Co. said last month its production rate for the 737 program will increase to 38 airplanes per month in the second quarter of 2013. The 737-800 aircraft used by other airlines typically have 160 seats, including 16 in first class.
