Blockbuster, BlackRock, Ford are big movers
NEW YORK — Stocks that moved substantially or traded heavily Wednesday on the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Stock Market:

Blockbuster Inc., down 12 cents to 28 cents
The video rental chain warned that it may have to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection as it staggers under a heavy debt load.
BlackRock Inc., up $10.45 at $222.80
An analyst raised his rating on the asset manager, saying it is positioned to best take advantage of growth in financial markets.
Ford Motor Co., up 61 cents at $14.10
Moody’s Investors Service upgraded its ratings for the automaker and its credit arm, saying Ford is performing better than expected.
NASDAQ:
Meridian Bioscience Inc., down $3.67 at $20.08
The maker of flu testing and other health devices lowered its sales and earnings forecasts for the fiscal year.
Fuqi International Inc., down $7.10 at $11.90
The Chinese jewelry designer said it found accounting errors that caused it to overstate profit for the first nine months of 2009.
Abraxis BioScience Inc., up $12.15 at $52
The company’s drug Abraxane, already approved as a breast cancer treatment, met key treatment goals in a late-stage lung cancer study.
Staples Inc., up 9 cents at $23.72
The office supplies chain said that it offered more than $350 million for the rest of Corporate Express Australia Ltd.
YRC Worldwide Inc., down 1.5 cents to 43 cents
The trucking company said that shipping volume is improving this month after two months of severe winter storms.
