NEW YORK — Stocks that moved substantially or traded heavily Tuesday on the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq Stock Market:

DuPont Co., up $1.39 at $40.38
The chemical maker raised its outlook for the year on higher prices, growing sales and better efficiency.
Lexmark International Inc., up $2.95 at $37.76
Strong printer sales drove a fivefold increase in second-quarter net income, and the company expects the business momentum to continue.
Valero Energy Corp., down 17 cents at $17.39
America’s largest independent oil refiner reported its first profitable quarter since early 2009.
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., down $4.82 at $46.17
The scientific instrument maker cut its revenue forecast and struck a cautious note on its revenue growth.
Supervalu Inc., up 4 cents at $11.62
The national grocery chain’s net income fell 40 percent as shoppers kept a tight lid on spending and competition increased.
Omnicare Inc., down $1.63 at $24.82
A Credit Suisse analyst downgraded the stock, saying Omnicare’s profit growth may be limited over the next few years.

The Hain Celestial Group Inc., up 92 cents at $21.82
Citi added the maker of Celestial Seasonings Tea to its “Top Picks Live” group and raised its target price by more than 10 percent.
Sanmina-SCI Corp., down $2.68 at $13.18
The contract electronics manufacturer reported fiscal third-quarter earnings below Wall Street’s expectations.
