Aruba Networks posts fiscal 4Q profit
SUNNYVALE, Calif. — Aruba Networks Inc., which makes equipment for wireless network providers, on Thursday posted a small profit for its latest quarter. The results beat analyst estimates.
Aruba said that in the fiscal fourth quarter, which ended July 31, it earned $432,000, or less than 1 cent per share, compared with a loss of $4.5 million, or 5 cents per share, in the year-ago quarter.
Excluding one-time items like stock-based expenses and litigation reserves, Aruba Networks’ profit in the latest quarter totaled 10 cents per share — a penny higher than analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters expected.
Revenue rose 45 percent to $77.33 million from $53.33 million, beating analyst expectations for $73.53 million.
Aruba said it gained more than 900 customers during the quarter. It now has more than 11,000 customers.
In aftermarket trading, shares of the Sunnyvale-based company rose 5 cents to $16.62, after losing 25 cents in regular trading.
