Apple CEO Steve Jobs opens music-themed event
SAN FRANCISCO — Apple CEO Steve Jobs is opening a music-themed event in San Francisco with a nod to a co-founder, Steve Wozniak.
Jobs appeared in a crewneck rather than his trademark mock turtleneck as he announced new Apple Inc. stores abroad.
Hundreds of journalists, bloggers and analysts are attending the event.
The event is likely to yield updated iPods, though the company hasn’t confirm any details. Apple watchers also have speculated the company could show off a new version of its Apple TV set-top box or add more music-discovery features to its iTunes music software.
