BSE Sensex Rises by 1 Percent on Monday

MUMBAI, INDIA (GaeaTimes.com) — On Monday morning, Asia’s oldest exchange Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) index was up 1 percent at 18,403.64 points, with 26 components advancing. The 50-share NSE index was up nearly 1 percent at 5,532.75.
BSE also has a plan to buy a majority stake in investor services company Computer Age Management Services (CAMS) for Rs. 650 crore ($ 140 million). Officials at the BSE and CAMS could not immediately be reached by Reuters for comment.
In another news, commercial vehicle maker Force Motors soared over 9 per cent on Monday to hit a year high on the Bombay Stock Exchange today.
