Cytec Industries raises price on chemical
WOODLAND PARK, N.J. — Chemicals maker Cytec Industries Inc. on Thursday said it is raising the price for its Aero Melamine product, which is used in the production of plastics.
As of Oct. 1, or as contracts allow, the company said melamine list prices will rise by 5 cents per pound to $110.231 per metric ton.
Cytec shares slipped 40 cents to $49.94 in afternoon trading.
