SalesForce Acquires Etacts A Social CRM Startup

Salesforce has acquired Etacts, a Y-combinator startup in the contact management system for an undisclosed amount. The company tried to introduce contact management and as well as relationship management for an undisclosed sum. The Etacts product tied to bring relationship management to its users’ personal e-mail contacts. The usp of their tech was an effortless integration with Google.

The product was delightful in its simplicity by the virtue of parsing Gmail contacts. Etacts was able to provide its users with interesting data. Data that included facts like how many e-mail conversations that were had etc. It also shows the amount of days a person or client has spend without contacting you.

The founders have sort of abandoned the product for the account. its site read

We have decided to pursue other opportunities and will be shutting down our service on January 31, 2011.
