Todd Shipyards Corporation wins contract on Kaiser
SEATTLE — Todd Shipyards Corp. said Wednesday that a subsidiary was awarded a $3 million military contract for overhaul work on an oiler ship.
The subsidiary, Todd Pacific, cleans tanks, overhauls the main engine and performs other maintenance on the USNS Henry J Kaiser, which is expected to arrive at the company’s Seattle shipyard April 1. The work is scheduled for 42 days.
Todd’s customers include the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard, the Washington State Ferry system and the Alaska Marine Highway System.
Todd shares rose 37 cents, or 2.2 percent, to $17.51 in late-afternoon trading.
