Flir Systems unit president to retire in 1st qtr
PORTLAND, Ore. — Flir Systems Inc. said Thursday Arne Almerfors, executive vice president and president of the company’s thermography division, will retire in the first quarter of next year.
The company, which makes infrared imaging cameras, also plans to merge its Thermography and Commercial Vision Systems divisions into one unit on Jan. 1. That unit will be led by the current president of the Commercial Vision Systems division, Andy Teich.
Almerfors started with Flir in 1997, and became president of the Thermography division in 2000.
Flir shares ended Thursday up 13 cents to close at $30.21.
