Micheletto resigns from Energizer board
ST. LOUIS — Battery maker Energizer Holdings Inc. said Thursday that Joe R. Micheletto will resign from its board, effective Jan. 2.
A board committee will consider whether to leave his spot vacant to shrink the size of the board to 10 directors or whether to appoint a replacement. It is scheduled to discuss the matter on Jan. 25.
Micheletto has served on Energizer’s board since 2000. He announced Monday that he will retire next month as board vice chairman of Post Cereal producer Ralcorp Holdings Inc., where he previously served as CEO. Earlier this year, Micheletto retired as chairman of ski resort operator Vail Resorts Inc.
Shares of St. Louis-based Energizer fell $1.20 to close at $60.80.
