Kirkland’s holiday sales comparison rises
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Home decor retailer Kirkland’s Inc. said Thursday that sales in November and December at its stores that had been open at least one year rose 9.7 percent from 2008.
Its total sales for the nine weeks that ended Jan. 2 also rose — 5.5 percent to $111.7 million.
Kirkland’s operates 299 stores in 32 states.
Shares fell 27 cents to $17.45 during morning trading.
