French co. to add jobs at Ark. auto parts plant
HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. — A French company with an auto-parts plant at Heber Springs says it will expand that facility, more than doubling the work force.
Saint Jean Industries, based at Belleville, France, said in a news release Friday that it will invest $14 million in the expansion and add about 250 new jobs to the current work force of 180.
The company makes aluminum parts for the automotive industry at its Heber Springs facility. According to the news release, the expansion stems from several significant orders placed with the company.
Gov. Mike Beebe met with Saint Jean officials on his recent European business and trade trip.
