Correction: Hazelnut recall story

GRANTS PASS, Ore. — In a story Jan. 20 about hazelnuts recalled over potential salmonella contamination, The Associated Press understated the amount of nuts recovered. Oregon Department of Agriculture spokesman Bruce Pokarney said the exact amount remains uncertain, but more than half the 110,000 pounds that were recalled were accounted for. The story incorrectly reported him saying about 45,000 pounds of nuts were recovered.
