Northrop Grumman gets Navy deal worth up to $282M
MELVILLE, N.Y. — Northrop Grumman Corp. received a contract worth up to $281.5 million from the U.S. Naval Sea Systems Command for its AN/SPQ-9B shipboard radar systems, which help better spot and track small, fast-moving anti-ship missiles.
Northrop said its Naval and Marine Systems division in Melville, N.Y., will supply four shipsets. The initial $26.2 million contract includes options that could bring the total value to $281.5 million. The options would cover aircraft carriers, cruisers and amphibious assault ships, as well as the U.S. Coast Guard National Security Cutter.
Northrop Grumman shares declined $1.01 to close at $58.54.
