Spaceport Systems gets 5-year Air Force contract
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Spaceport Systems International, a joint venture of ITT Corp. and California Commercial Spaceport Inc., said it has received a contract worth up to $48 million to provide spaceport launch services for the U.S. Air Force.
Work under the five-year contract will be completed for the Air Force’s Space and Missile Systems Center Launch Test Squadron. The company’s facility is located at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.
