Convergys names new CEO
CHANGE AT THE TOP: Business services outsourcing provider Convergys Corp. has named former Alltel Corp. executive Jeff Fox as president and CEO, replacing David Dougherty.
WHY?: Dougherty took over less than three years ago, heading into the brunt of the recession. Convergys’ growth and profits have slumped, and the company recently forecast that revenues would fall this year.
THE COMPANY: Convergys has been a global leader for outsourcing in call-center, billing and other customer relations services, and employs 70,000 people in 30 countries.
