General Dynamics awarded $154 mln Army contract
FAIRFAX, Va. — Defense contractor General Dynamics Corp. said Tuesday that its information technology unit was awarded a five-year contract worth up to $154 million from the U.S. Army.
The contract calls for General Dynamics to support medical information systems for medical teams caring for soldiers in combat.
General Dynamics will be supporting the Army’s Medical Communications for Combat Casualty Care, a medical information system that stores electronic medical records and streamlines medical logistics for Army tactical forces, among other tasks.
General Dynamics said the contract is worth up to to $154 million if all options are exercised.
Shares of General Dynamics, based in Falls Church, Va., were up $1 to $68.95 in morning trading.
