Regions Financial picks new finance chief, chief administrative officer from within ranks

Regions names new finance, administrative chiefs
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Regions Financial Corp. on Monday said it would promote two executives to new senior management positions.
Grayson Hall, who is currently president and chief operating officer and will take over as CEO on April 1, named David Turner chief financial officer.
Turner, 46, was head of internal audit for the regional bank since 2006. He served as general auditor for a predecessor to Regions beginning in 2005, and was previously an audit partner for KPMG.
He succeeds Irene Esteves, who resigned from the bank. She was CFO for two years.
David Edmonds, 56, was named to the new position of chief administrative officer. He will be responsible for support functions including operations and technology, human resources, and external affairs. He was previously head of human resources, and held a similar title with a predecessor bank since 1994. He previously worked in human resources for PepsiCo and Mobil Oil Corp.
John Haley, currently head of operational risk, will serve as interim head of internal audit while the company conducts a search to fill the position. Haley held a similar position as a predecessor institution.
David Keenan will succeed Edmonds as head of human resources.
Incoming CEO Hall also named Bill Wells, Tim Laney and John Owen to serve as the company’s senior management team.
Wells, 50, is the bank’s chief risk officer. Laney, 49, is head of business services. Owen, 49 is head of consumer services.
