Kratos Defense gets $9 million contract

SAN DIEGO — Defense contractor Kratos Defense & Security Solutions Inc. said Wednesday that it has received a contract worth more than $9 million to refurbish aviation maintenance shelters.

The latest award extends a program that now totals more than $22 million, the company said.

Kratos did not disclose which branch of the military awarded the contract. Messages left with the company seeking comment were not immediately returned.

Kratos shares were up 11 cents to $12.20 in afternoon trading.
