Douglas Dynamics 1Q loss grows
MILWAUKEE — Snowplow maker Douglas Dynamics said Tuesday that its first-quarter loss grew on lower sales of parts and accessories.
The company reported a net loss of $5.7 million, or 40 cents per share in the quarter ended March 31. That compared with $4.5 million, or 31 cent per share loss Douglas Dynamics posted in the year-ago quarter.
Sales fell 3.5 percent to $14.6 million. The company said that equipment sales were up, but were outweighed by lower results for parts and accessories.
Douglas Dynamics raised $112.5 million in early May with an initial public offering.
Company shares fell 11 cents to $11.58 in late afternoon trading.
