Textron buys unmanned vehicle maker MillenWorks

WILMINGTON, Mass. — Textron Systems Corp., which provides unmanned aircraft systems, advanced marine craft and armored vehicles, said Thursday that it bought privately owned MillenWorks for an undisclosed amount.

MillenWorks, based in Tustin, Calif., makes unmanned vehicles. Textron Systems said it expects MillenWorks to report $28 million in revenue this year. The company will join Textron Marine & Land Systems, a unit of Textron Systems.

Shares of Textron Systems parent Textron Inc. shares rose 67 cents, or 3.6 percent, to $19.35 in afternoon trading.
