Product Recalls: Miravalle brand peppers
The following recall has been announced:
— Miravalle Foods Inc. is recalling about 37,300 pounds of Miravalle brand Chile California peppers and Miravalle brand Chile Nuevo Mexico peppers because they could be contaminated with salmonella. Salmonella can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, seniors and others with weakened immune systems. No illnesses have been reported, according to the El Monte, Calif., company. The recalled peppers were distributed to some customers in California, Colorado, Utah, North Carolina, Nebraska, Idaho, Oregon and Nevada. For more information, consumers can call 626-575-7551.
