Trina Solar names Tzou as chief strategy officer
NEW YORK — Chinese solar power product maker Trina Solar Ltd. on Monday named Sean Tzou its new chief strategy officer.
Tzou served as the company’s chief operations officer from March 2007 until last month. He took over responsibilities as head of global sales and marketing in August 2009, and in the new position will focus on sales team management, brand promotion and other areas.
Tzou will remain a member of Trina’s board.
Gary Yu, who has served as the company’s vice president of manufacturing since May 2007, was tapped as senior vice president of operations. He will handle manufacturing operations and supply chain management.
Trina Solar shares closed Monday trading down 59 cents, or 2.8 percent, at $20.52.
